Anjouan: new requirements for B2B in the gambling industry from 1 July 2025
In 2025, the iGaming regulator in Anjouan introduced new mandatory requirements for B2B providers working with licensed operators.
Essence of the change
Anjouan Gaming launched the B2B Licence Recognition Certificate Programme.
From 1 July 2025, all B2B providers serving Anjouan-licensed operators must have either:
- a full Anjouan B2B licence;
- or a Recognition Certificate.
Operating without one of these statuses is considered non-compliance.
Practical implications for B2C operators
Operators must:
- Take inventory of all B2B counterparties (platforms, game studios, RNG, PSP, KYC/AML providers, etc.).
- Check that each has an Anjouan B2B Licence or Recognition Certificate.
- Update the contractual basis, including:
- warranties on valid licensing/certification;
- the right to terminate in the event of loss of status;
- obligations to notify of changes.
Regularly check statuses in the following registers:
- License Register from Anjouan Gaming;
- AOFA public register (check by company/licence).
Risk factor
Using B2B suppliers without the required status creates regulatory and licensing risks for the operator itself.
