Changes for UK companies effective 4.03.2024

8th of February

On March 4, 2024, the changes spelled out in the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act (passed last October) will take effect.

List of changes regarding the company office:

  • companies without such an address could be removed from the UK company register after March 4.

Email:

  • companies will be required to provide an up-to-date email address to Companies House;
  • start-up companies will provide an e-mail address during the business registration process;
  • not having an email address is an offense;
  • email address will not be published in a publicly accessible registry.

Statement of lawful activity:

  • companies that are already operating in the UK market or are just starting up commit to operating without breaking the law;
  • the legality of the company's operations must be confirmed by submitting a statement.
